"Damaris" Daisy Clip Earrings

I’ve created a pair of special earrings for my sorority sister, Damaris, who has been diagnosed with Philadelphia Chromosome - Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, a few weeks ago. As a way to fundraise, I will be donating 100% of the proceeds from every purchase of the “Damaris” Daisy Earrings for her medical expenses.

Damaris’ Fight with Philadelphia Chromosome- Like Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia
 
Today, she’s a dreamer fighting Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Tomorrow, she’s teaching for the future.
 
Damaris, 19 years old, is currently enrolled at UTRGV and is in her final semester of completing her Bilingual Education Degree, as well as earning her Teacher Certificate Degree. Her accomplishments were soon overcome by unexpected deaths in her family,  in September, lost an aunt to COVID and another in November to natural causes, then on December 19, her cousin passed away from COVID, and an uncle is currently in ICU due to COVID lung-related issues. Sadly, the following morning, December 20, she received the devastating news, her mother passed had away from chronic renal failure. 
 
On Saturday, January 23, Damaris was transported to MD Anderson, by ambulance. There, she was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia Philadelphia Chromosome Like, “ALL” for short.  These news were all heartbreaking for Damaris, and very challenging to cope with.  She has, however, managed to move forward and make much effort in remaining positive, as she combats her leukemia.
